FALL 2025 EVENTS

  • Thursday, September 11: BCT’s 22nd SEASON KICK-OFF PICNIC, Urban Meadow Community Gardein, 39 President St., Brooklyn
  • November 8-23: BCT’s HOPE HARVEST FUNDRAISER, peer-to-peer digital campaign
  • Saturday, November 15 at 4pm: Fall Saturday Program Sharing @ 540 President Street, 1B (at BCT’s neighbor!), Brooklyn
    • 43 children, ages 6-14, will present the songs, scenes, and dances they have learned over this 10 week, full day program.
  • Friday, November 21 at 5:30pm: High School Audition Workshop Sharing @ BCT Studios, 540 President Street, 1D, Brooklyn
    • 8th graders will present the pieces they have prepared for high school auditions.  Appropriate for all ages.
  • Saturday, December 6 at 6:30pm: MainStage 1 Theatre Festival @ Brooklyn Music School, 126 St. Felix Street, Brooklyn
    • MainStage 1 Productions, original musical festival performed by 1st-8th graders.  Three mini-musicals will be performed, written by teams of youth advisors and professional writers.  Appropriate for all ages.
  • Sunday, December 7 at 3:30pm: MainStage 1 Theatre Festival @ Brooklyn Music School, 126 St. Felix Street, Brooklyn
    • MainStage 1 Productions, original musical festival performed by 1st-8th graders.  Three mini-musicals will be performed, written by teams of youth advisors and professional writers.  Appropriate for all ages.
  • Friday, December 12 at 6:30pm: Teen Ensemble Fall Show – ‘The Dry Land’ @ Mark Morris Dance Studio–James and Martha Duffy Performance Space, 3 Lafayette Ave., Brooklyn
    • Written with the Support for Artists NYSCA grant by Princess Grace Award Winner, Dionne McClain-Freeney, along with 15 teens from BCT’s Viola Davis Summer Program

  • Friday, January 30 @ 7:00pm: College Audition Workshop Sharing @ BCT Studios, 540 President Street, 1D, Brooklyn
    • 8 11th & 12th-graders  will present the pieces they have prepared for college auditions.  Some content may not be suitable for children under 14.

  • Wednesday, February 11 at 1pm: PS346 Residency Performance @ PS346 Abe Stark, 1400 Granville Payne Ave., Brooklyn
  • Saturday, March 21 at 4pm: Winter Saturday Program Sharing @ BCT Studios, 540 President Street, 1D, Brooklyn

    • This production will be an original devised musical created by the Spring 2026 Teen Ensemble participants centered around songs written by Mars Rucker in the 2024 Viola Davis Summer Program.  Appropriate for ages 10 and up.

    • MainStage 3 Productions, original musical festival performed by 1st-8th graders.  Three mini-musicals will be performed, written by teams of youth advisors and professional writers.  Appropriate for all ages.
